The avast Secure Browser Review is a browser which places the most importance on security and privacy, with features such as Bank Mode and Anti-Tracking Technology. It also has a VPN built-in, allowing you to get online fast and remain secure. It is built on Chromium which means it looks and works just like Chrome and supports Chrome extensions, as well as its own security-focused extensions.
Avast Secure Browser includes a variety of privacy and security extensions already installed. These include an adblocker, a antiphishing extension, an extension for anti-tracking and fingerprint masking, HTTPS encryption, extension guard, a password manager, and even the ability to double-check credentials on websites like HaveIBeenPwned. All of these extensions in the browser’s Security & Privacy Center. You can also set up each of them according to your preference.
The adblocker’s performance is strong and can be configured to block all ads. It is also able to block flash data files, which can help pages load faster. The browser can also identify phishing websites and warn you about scams that could be a possibility. However this feature is not as robust than Google’s Scam Alert.
The browser claims to “track proof,” which is just a fancy name for the Do Not Track standard. This standard is not as strong as it could be. The anti-fingerprinting capabilities of the browser are also limited and only scramble part of the user agent string.
